IK Frej is a Swedish football club located in Täby.[1]
Background
IK Frej was founded more than 30 years ago by Åke Berghagen and his friends. Today, IK Frej more than 1200 members, most of whom are active in the football section. Approximately 50% of Taby Kyrkbyns children and youngsters aged 7–17 years are members of the club.[2]
Since their foundation on 5 February 1968 IK Frej has participated mainly in the middle and lower divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club currently plays in Division 2 Norra Svealand which is the fourth tier of Swedish football.[3] They play their home matches at the Vikingavallen in Täby.[4]
IK Frej are affiliated to the Stockholms Fotbollförbund.[5]
